Vancouver gives visitors incredible access to bustling city life with endless day trip options to explore the amazing outdoors. When my wife and I travel, we use the big city as our home base and take advantage of scenic drives and day trips for hiking and the like. For this BC trip we lived like locals in an awesome Airbnb in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver with easy access to a great food scene and driving ease to the Whistler and Squamish mountainous areas. Late fall offered amazing weather and let us stay outside from sunrise to sunset with quick passing misty rain on occasion. We really just scratched the surface on this trip as we got a feel for the area. We experienced some not so worth it tourist highlights like the Capilano Suspension Bridge but also some totally worth it ones like the Sea to Sky Gondola. Some popular hikes were already closed for the winter so we definitely will be returning for a summer adventure.
